What are the typical constituents measured?

Near Infrared (NIR) Process Measurements are based on organic chemical group absorption bands.

            O-H for Moisture, Water-based Coatings & Alcohol

            C-H for Oils, Fats, Adhesives & Plastics

            N-H for Protein, Ammonia & Amines

All PSC NIR smart sensors can be fitted with an IR temperature sensor for simultaneous product temperature measurement. Up to three (3) NIR measurements can be made at the same time, plus product temperature if equipped.
