Generally, the Transmitter is located over a moving conveyor, usually at a distance of about 12 inches from the product. Often the Transmitter will be located out of doors and will be exposed to the elements. Therefore, it is important to use a NEMA enclosure and to ensure that the Transmitter is protected from the direct sun and rain.
