The Rainbow Mountains in China are real, not photo shopped. Formed over millions of years, sandstone marking different geological ages have been pushed up by colliding tectonic plates. Wow! Happy Friday from Process Sensors!
Process Sensors Near IR Transmitters can view product through windows to provide measurement of moisture and additives. The MCT360 can measure important process parameters through polymeric food grade windows, quartz, sapphire and other suitable materials. The MCT360 NIR Transmitter supplies large digital display, trending, analog and digital outputs. Please contact us to discuss your application for scanning product through a window at 508.473-9901.
PSC IR Division has released the new Surveyor Series of Themal Imaging Cameras Brochure for your review.
Hot Melt Measurements are typically measured with Near Infrared (NIR) transmitters that provide a digital display in engineering units (GSM, mils, microns, lbs./ream or other), analog outputs and a digital interface. The NIR non-contacting Hot Melt measurement is extremely accurate and stable with no regulatory requirements. The measurement can be fixed point or scan across the web to provide a cross direction web profile.
Paraffin Wax is largely accepted as the first hot melt coating application. Polymer and copolymer resins brought a host of formulations for improved performance properties that continue to expand the horizons of Hot Melt applications. Roll Coaters, Die Coaters, extruders, and doctor blade configurations are among the methods of applying hot melt adhesive. Roll coaters offer more flexibility than die application methods as they change over more quickly and allow for stripe coating. Die Coaters offer more precision across the web, especially in the 15 to 20 GSM. Hot melt applications of 100 GSM are very common and the range can go from 0-400 GSM.
Melt coating dies vary from 100mm to 3m, depending on the application. The greater the number of dies, the greater the control across the substrate web to achieve set point. When dies malfunction or get contaminated, they need to be detected, maintained or replaced.
The Guardian CD Web Profile System provides a Cross Direction web profile on a 19” flat panel LCD in an economical and attractive enclosure. The Guardian is fully automated with recipes for web width, scan speed, zone average, and data logging digital outputs. This is a complete system to provide the highest value performance to cost ratio. The system can supply CD Web Profiles and MD Trends for hot melt thickness, moisture and temperature. Multiple measurements can be mounted on a single screen.
Process Sensors IR Thermal Imaging and Temperature Division has released a new application sheet for conveyor applications.
As the national trade association for the U.S. fuel ethanol industry, the Renewable Fuels Association has been the “Voice of the Ethanol Industry” since 1981. RFA promotes policies, regulations, research and development initiatives, and market development that will lead to the increased production and consumption of ethanol fuel.
The Fuel Ethanol Workshop allowed many plant managers and engineers to view Process Sensors Corp. MCT360 moisture and additive measurement system. Please contact us at 508.473-9901 to discuss your measurement needs.
Each year, tens of thousands of food professionals from around the world come to the IFT Food Expo.
At the IFT Food Expo, you’ll find the industry’s largest collection of food ingredients, equipment, processing, and packaging suppliers, all under one roof. It’s the only place where the latest global food trends–and the products designed to meet them–are on display.
For professionals involved in food science and technology, the IFT Food Expo is the single most important tradeshow of the year. That’s why two out of every three people who attend the Food Expo are repeat attendees. They know from personal experience that it’s THE best place to see, touch, taste, and experience the newest products, the latest trends, the hottest tools, and most cutting-edge techniques…and meet face-to-face with the companies that provide them.
Process Sensors will be exhibiting at the IFT July 13 – 16 at the McCormick in Chicago, Booth # 2188. We will be showing our process MCT330 and MCT360 for moisture, oil and flavorings and our laboratory MCT660.
Process Sensors IR Division has released two new application notes for Fire Prevention with Hot Spot Surveillance and 24/7 Fixed Position of Electrical Connections. PSC IR also offers a free temperature converter for Fahrenheit, Celsius and Kelvin. Click Here to use the free PSC IR Temperature Converter.
