Accessories
and Options
The MCT
360 may require an internal heat blanket if ambient temperature
is likely to drop below 32° F ,vortex
cooler, sight
window, snorkel
sampler or sample
probe dependent upon the installation location. The MCT
660 can be modified to measure on static samples, one
such modification is the removal of the turntable and addition
of an angle
support bracket.
Gauge outputs, Operator Interface
& Display
The MCT
360 is available with or without a local operator interface
or display as all the processing is carried out within the
sensor head and the measurement is output via 4-20mA, 0-10V,
RS232, RS485 or any bus. Installation time and effort is minimised
by dispensing with a local OI, but should samples be collected
for cross checks an OI is useful... in this event, one could
be simply plugged into the gauge at the sampling location.
The MCT
330-HD is always sold with an Operator Interface.
The Measurement
Moisture is the most critical measurement, but other measurements
are available and also important. For example; PVB and EVA
thickness, this is important due to the fact that moisture
level needs to be lower than a critical % and small differences
in the film thickness could make all the difference to whether
the product lies within specification or not. The moisture
measurement is film thickness compensated. Accuracy is application
dependent, ranging typically from +/- 0.1% to +/- 0.5% for
moisture, obviously accuracy is greater for the PVB application
at 0.02%, and worse for variable product such as hog fuel
which can be in the region of 1.0%. |
