Process Sensors Corporation Transmitters are
used routinely in the manufacture of animal
food products.
Sensors can be located in a number of positions,
depending on the type of animal food product
being manufactured. These positions can include
at the outlet of rotating drums, continuous
ovens, RF dryers and etc. The Transmitter
is often placed over a conveyor, usually at
a distance of about 12" from the product.
When installing a Sensor, it is important
to keep environmental temperature in mind,
especially at oven outlets. If the temperature
is above 60°C, it may be necessary to
cool the Transmitter with air or water.
Calibrations for most animal food products
have been determined by Process Sensors Corporation.
Moisture calibrations are often determined
relative to Karl Fisher Titration method and
oil is usually calibrated relative to Soxhlet
Extraction. Accuracies vary dependant upon
on your application. Consult Process Sensors
